This course is designed for experienced teachers in Music education who wish to explore research that informs practice and pedagogy, and contribute to research in this area. The course will be undertaken over 3 days. Each day will be divided into three sessions. Session 1 will explore specific aspects of neuroscientific and psychological research. In this session, small groups of participants will receive a specific aspect to identify in the teaching and learning in Session 2. Session 2 will be an active music workshop. Session 3 will be divided into 2 parts; Part 1 will be for small group discussions and compilation of a short report, analysing the impact of neuroscience on the pedagogy; Part 2 will be reports back to the whole group and discussion on the research and how it applies to their context and the wider field of Music education.

After the course, on a voluntary basis, participants are invited to contribute to this research by emailing Robyn regarding their observations and reflections after embedding neuroscientific principles in their pedagogy.  What is the impact?
