Featured Presenter - Werner Beidinger

Werner Beidinger is a much sought after presenter around the world.
After studying at the Orff Institute in Salzburg in the 1980s, he
stayed on there as a teacher, and he has taught in schools and at the
Bruckner Conservatoire (Austria). Currently he is head of the Institute
for Music at the University of Potsdam in Germany, and also teaches
parent-child music classes. He has been President of the German Orff
Schulwerk Association since 2003. Werner is a member of a singing and
body percussion ensemble, "Bodysounds'. He also produces the music
education magazine, "musikpraxis". Apart from the early development of
musical experiences and skills, his aim is for music to enhance the
positive connections between parent and child. Werner was a popular
presenter at the 2004 National Australian Orff conference in Hobart. We
welcome him to Melbourne.
